Recently, collaborating teams led by Associate Professors Dong Zhe and Yu Peiyuan from the Department of Chemistry, College of Science, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) have achieved a breakthrough in the study of pericyclic reactions. They designed and realized a novel class of pericyclic reactions—triatropic rearrangement—and applied it to the rearrangement of complex molecules. The related findings were published in the top academic journal Science under the title“ Leveraging Triatropic Rearrangements for Stereoselective Skeletal Reshuffling”.
